We’re heading to one of Zagreb’s most unique and internationally famous attractions — the Museum of Broken Relationships! This creative and emotional museum tells stories through everyday objects, letters, and memories left behind after relationships end. But don’t worry — it’s not just sad! Many exhibits are surprisingly funny, strange, and relatable, showing how love and life can be both messy and meaningful.
During our visit, we’ll explore how personal stories reflect culture, identity, and human connection. The museum is a perfect place to think about how people express emotions in different ways, and it offers plenty of interesting moments for discussion, reflection, and even a few laughs. It’s an unforgettable experience and a great sociocultural activity for our course participants.
After the museum, we’ll continue the experience in the best way possible — by relaxing together and enjoying a coffee. Join us for a friendly chat, a chance to share impressions, and some good company in Zagreb’s cozy café atmosphere.
Anyone currently learning Croatian at CLA can participate free of charge.
Additional individual costs like admission tickets, food or drinks need to be covered by each student individually.
Even though student participation in the activities is free, it is mandatory that you sign up at least a day in advance.
Inform your professor if you want to participate, and they will add you to the list.
