Get ready to step into the world of Croatian sporting legends! Our next socio-cultural activity takes us to the Croatian Sports Museum in the heart of Zagreb—a place where history, passion, and victory come alive. From Olympic medals to iconic jerseys and unforgettable moments, the museum brings together over a century of Croatian sports achievements in one dynamic space. With nearly 500,000 collected items and carefully curated exhibitions, it’s a chance to see just how big a mark this small country has made on the global sporting stage.
But this isn’t your typical “look-but-don’t-touch” museum. The space is designed to be modern, interactive, and engaging, with multimedia displays that invite you to explore, discover, and even play along. You’ll walk through stories of determination, teamwork, and unforgettable victories—from Olympic triumphs to world championship glory—while experiencing exhibits that are constantly evolving and keeping up with new sporting successes.
Whether you’re a sports fan or just looking for a fun and inspiring outing, this visit is all about celebrating energy, ambition, and national pride. Expect a lively atmosphere and plenty of moments that will make you say, “Wow, I didn’t know that!” So come along, and get ready to experience Croatian sports like never before—you might just leave feeling a little more inspired (and competitive) yourself. And to round off the experience, we’ll head out together for a relaxed coffee after the visit, giving everyone a chance to chat, unwind, and share their favourite moments from the day.
Anyone currently learning Croatian at CLA can participate free of charge.
Additional individual costs like admission tickets, food or drinks need to be covered by each student individually.
Even though student participation in the activities is free, it is mandatory that you sign up at least a day in advance.
Inform your professor if you want to participate, and they will add you to the list.
