Speed up the development of your language skills by participating in the Socio-Cultural Activities program and have a great time while doing it.

Atelier Meštrović is one of those places that instantly feels personal. Tucked away in Zagreb’s Upper Town, it was once the home and working studio of Ivan Meštrović, one of the most important sculptors of the 20th century whose work earned him international acclaim. Walking through the Atelier feels less like visiting a museum and more like stepping directly into the artist’s world.

After years of restoration following the Zagreb earthquake, the Atelier has been reopened with a new permanent exhibition that brings the story of Meštrović’s life and art to life in fresh, engaging ways. The display blends classic pieces like figurative sculptures and portraits with personal artifacts, letting you see a side of Meštrović that goes beyond marble and bronze. Whether you’re a longtime fan of his work or just curious to learn about Croatia’s artistic legacy, the Atelier is an inviting place to explore.

After the visit to the Atelier, it’s time for a well-earned coffee at Caffe Bar Abesinija, just around the corner. This beloved Zagreb café is inspired by the classic Croatian film Tko pjeva, zlo ne misli, making it the perfect spot to relax, chat, and ease back into the rhythm of the city.
