Start your Wednesday in the atmosphere of ancient times at Zagreb’s impressive Archaeological Museum in Zagreb. The museum, situated in the beautiful Vranyczany-Hafner Palace on Zrinski Square, holds more than 450,000 fascinating artefacts collected from a wide variety of historical sites and cultures. Although many of the exhibits come from territories belonging to Croatia’s rich national heritage, the museum is also home to internationally significant collections, including remarkable Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artefacts — all of which we will explore with professional guidance during our visit. From ancient inscriptions and jewellery to mysterious mummies and beautifully preserved everyday objects, the museum offers a unique opportunity to step back in time.
This visit will not only give us the chance to learn more about history and archaeology, but also to experience one of Zagreb’s most beautiful cultural landmarks together. Walking through the elegant halls of the museum, surrounded by stories from ancient civilizations, promises to be both inspiring and enjoyable. After the tour, we will continue the afternoon together with a relaxing coffee break nearby — the perfect opportunity to share impressions and enjoy the atmosphere of the city centre.
Anyone currently learning Croatian at CLA can participate free of charge.
