Summer in Zagreb is the perfect time to slow down, step into nature, and enjoy one of the city’s most beautiful green oases. That’s why our next sociocultural activity will take us to the Zagreb Botanical Garden, where we’ll spend a relaxing morning surrounded by colourful flowers, towering trees, peaceful pathways, and charming ponds. It is the perfect opportunity to escape the summer heat, enjoy the fresh air, and experience another special corner of the city together.
Founded in 1889, the Botanical Garden is one of Zagreb’s oldest and most treasured public spaces. As we stroll through its beautiful grounds, participants will have the chance to practise Croatian in a natural and informal setting while learning more about the city’s rich natural heritage. Home to more than 5,000 plant species, the Garden offers a unique combination of history, biodiversity, and tranquillity right in the heart of Zagreb.
After our walk, we’ll continue the socialising at the nearby Botaničar Café, where everyone is invited to join us for a coffee or a refreshing cold drink. It’s the perfect way to unwind, chat with classmates, and enjoy a relaxed summer morning together. We look forward to sharing another memorable Zagreb experience with you!
Anyone currently learning Croatian at CLA can participate free of charge.
Additional individual costs like admission tickets, food or drinks need to be covered by each student individually.
Even though student participation in the activities is free, it is mandatory that you sign up at least a day in advance.
Inform your professor if you want to participate, and they will add you to the list.
