Join us for a fun and interactive wine tasting workshop in honor of Martinje, Croatia’s beloved wine celebration! This special event is a perfect opportunity to discover the country’s rich wine traditions while practicing your Croatian in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
Martinje, celebrated on November 11, is traditionally associated with St. Martin’s Day and the transformation of must into wine. According to Croatian folk tradition, this occasion is marked by festive gatherings, delicious food, and the symbolic “baptism” of young wine.
Croatia is home to many diverse wine regions, each offering unique flavors and aromas that reflect the beauty of the land and culture. Come taste, learn, and “živjeli!” together with fellow students as we explore why wine is such an important part of Croatian heritage.
Who can participate in CLA Socio-Cultural Activities?
Anyone currently learning Croatian at CLA can participate free of charge.
Is everything free of charge?
Yes, food and drinks are free of charge for this workshop.
Do I need to sign up for an activity?
Even though student participation in the activities is free, it is mandatory that you sign up at least a day in advance.
